  • Halloween Nightmare

    With civil unrest and numerous road blocks, the border into Panama was closed. Plans quickly changed, we headed back north, rising to 11,000 feet as we crossed the mountains into the capital.

  • Costa Rica: 5th Country in 5 Days

    Another tough border crossing of more than 4 hours, including more than an hour delay for the insurance guy to have his lunch! Tense last hour, with flooding and loosing a dipped beam.

  • Beautiful Nicaragua

    Touch and go at the border, with long discussions about what we are up to, but then stunning scenery and our first police stop for speeding…thankfully let off with a warning.

  • Five Hour Crossing Into Honduras

    Hard border crossing but then the reward of fast winding dual carriageway across the mountains from the north of Honduras to the capital. 12 hours on the road today.

  • Tough Driving in Guatemala

    After three hours on broken roads with some damage to the front of the car, the tarmac thankfully returned. Averaged just 25 mph over the day.

  • Easy Crossing Into Belize

    What an amazing 6,000 miles from New York. From -8C in Detroit to +39C in the jungles of south Mexico, and as high as 12,500 ft coming out of Mexico City, our Vantage has done us proud.

    The Palenque Ruins of the Maya people were a real highlight, and we returned to find a crowd of enthusiastic locals who couldn’t believe that an Aston Martin had made it to the jungle.

    Took a patience sapping 2 1/2 hours to get our paperwork sorted at the border, but the welcome from the locals and desert scenery have made it all worthwhile.
